20150412 - Antennas for Satellite Operation
Post date: Apr 18, 2015 12:15:43 AM
Denis VK6FADF lets us know that a bit more digging (keywords are everything!!) turns up the following for anyone interested...
An Arrow-style crossed yagi, QRP, homebrew by Bertrand Zauhar VE2ZAZ with reference to Lee Devlin K0LEE below...
A home-brew duplexer (microduplexer) here, with reference to the Arrow site following...
The above refers to a PCB which can be homebrewed or obtained commercially for US$3.50 from Far Circuits
Arrow Antennas site lists their commercial diplexer for 10W rating for around US$60 (plus shipping?)Â
I would be keen to combine (no pun) the duplexer with a couple of yagi's produced to the VK5DJ yagi calculator as demo'e to the Group by Terry VK6ZLT at last meeting. I'd be inclined to use a larger number of elements (than the Arrow) in each yagi for better gain while still allowing for reasonable portability.
