My "mobile" shack:

KX2, Hardrock 50 amp, Bioenno 12 Ah LiFePO4 battery with Powerpole distribution board held on top by Velcro. Antenna this day was a 20m 1/4 wave vertical ground plane, and inverted V for 40m up about 3m at the apex. Macbook Air using the contest logging to handle the CAT control, repetitive CQ, and replies for rapid “contest mode” exchanges.

10m long whip on top of the VW.

My favorite configuration at a picnic table. Antenna is lofted with the 150g lead weight seen just in front of the amplifier. I use “mason’s line” to put up my antenna wires. The bright pink makes good contrast with greenery. It is very strong.
